They Stuck Me In The Basement....
I Went To Hospice Today And I Got Put In The Basement Punching Holes In Like 10,000 Pieces Of Paper. Hospice Uses This Software Called "Suncoast". It's A Terribly Difficult Charting Program. Like I Said, Suncoast Is Incredibly Difficult, So They Have To Train People To Use It. Hospice Gives Out Huge Binders Full Of Resources To Help You Use Suncoast. Guess Who Got To Start The Binder-Making Process? Me!!! It Took Forever!!!! It's Done Though...

Tomorrow, I Have A Lab Exam. I'm Not Really Worried About It Because It's Just All The Other Quizes Mushed Together. I Made A 92% or Better On All The Quizes So Tomorrow Shouldn't Be To Difficult....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We Got Our PSAT Score Back Today. I Didn't Do Bad. I Scored 68% Better Than All Other 11th Graders In Critical Reading, 71% Better In Math, And 83% Better In Writing Skills. Not Bad, But I Could've Done Better. We Take The SAT In Our Senior Year.
I'm So Ready For Christmas Break, I Could Scream. It's Not Because I Really Just Want Christmas To Be Here (OK, Not Only That) But I'm Sick Of School!!!!
Friday, I'm Traveling To A Lab Somewhere Over The Rainbow To Work All Day Long. I'm Researching Cystic Fibrosis. If You Don't Know What That Is, Click HERE!
Look At Those Eyes....Are You Your Mama's Child?
Today, In Biology, We Talked About Human Genetics. What You Get From Your Parents.
Here's Some Cool Traits That You May Have:
• Bent little finger. If the last joint of your little finger bends toward the fourth finger, you have the dominant allele.
• Pigmented iris – If you have blue or gray eyes, your irises are unpigmented and you are homozygous for the recessive allele. If your eyes are any other color, you have the dominant allele.
• Attached earlobes – The allele for free earlobes is dominant to the recessive allele for attached earlobes.
• Hitchhiker’s thumb – If you can bend the last joint of your thumb backward at an angle of 60 degrees or more, you have the recessive allele.
• Interlacing fingers – If you naturally cross your left thumb over your right when casually interlacing your fingers, you have the dominant allele.
• Mid-digit hair – If you have any hair on the middle segment of any of your fingers (hold them up to the light to see closely) you have the dominant allele.
• Widow’s peak – If your hairline forms a V above your forehead, you have the dominant allele.
I Went Piano Shopping Today And Didn't Get Very Far. (I'd Vent and Rant About Why But I Already Have A Headache And I've Steamed Enough.)
I'm Posting This Part For Nikki---- : )
We Also Talked About Something Called Nondisjunction. This Means That Your Eggs Don't Have The Correct Amount Of Chromosomes. If It Has 1 Too Many, It Can Cause A Disorder Such As Trisomy 18. Which Is Fatal To The Baby. If Egg Has 1 Too Few, You'll Have The Opposite Of Trisomy Called, Monosomy. This Is Less Fatal. Random Fact: If Nikki's Baby (Johanna) Would've Been Made Out Of The Monosomy Egg Instead Of The Trisomy Egg, Johanna Would've Lived And May Have Been Mentally Retarded And Had Dimples.
I Abhor The Greatness Of A Pianist...
Not Really But, Man Do I Ever Wish That I Could Play Like This:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last Night At Church, We (The Adult Choir) Practiced Some Christmas Songs. It's So Exciting Because I Love Hearing Christmas Music. Not To Mention Singing It And Playing It On The Piano. I Was Talking To Phillip After Church And We Talked About How Different Piano Players Play Differently But They All Can Sound Really Good. I've Always Said That It Just Depends On The Person. When I'm At Grandma's And Dyson And I Are Playing On The Piano, It Always Amazes Me How Differently We Play. He Has That Old Timey Southern Gospel Feel And I Have A More Modern/Classical Feel. Both Are Good. Depending On The Song, One May Be Better. Phillip Told Me How He Played What Child Is This. And I Could Go Home And Play Exactly How He Said But It Would Sound Completely Different. (And Vice Versa.)

We Just Started Reading This Book Called "Survival of The Sickest". It Talks About How Disease May Be Bad But It's Better Than The Alternative...Death. It's Really Interesting Because It Talks About All These Horrible Diseases And How That They Are Actually Good For Survival. Example: Malaria Is A Disease That Attacks Your Red Blood Cells. But, Malaria Doesn't Like Sickle Cells. If You Have Sickle Cell Anemia, You Are Resistant To Malaria But If You're In An Area Where There Is No Malaria, Your Very Sickly.

I Hiatus School Projects....
As You All Know...I Am The World's Best Example Of A Non-Procrastinator!! Here Lately We've Had Sooo Much Work That Things Like Group Projects Get Pushed To The Wayside Because We Don't Have Time To Come Together To Work On Them. This Was The Case On This Assignment That I Just Finished. We Had To Make A Board Game But I Made Card Game Where You Have To Answer Questions To Get All Five Cards Of A Certain Color. I just Finished Printing Them On A Temperamental Printer...But Halleluhyer They're Finished.

Our School Is Doing A Toy Sale As A Fundraiser. In My Opinion, This Is Really Dumb. We Are All Teenagers And We Don't Buy Our Little Siblings Anything...That's Our Parent's Responsibility. I Think That They Should Do Some Kind Of Cool Fundraiser Like A iPod Sale Or Something.

I Didn't Go To My Mom's This Weekend Because It's A Little Snowy Up There. I Was Afraid I'd Get Stuck Or Wreck.

I Just Looked At The CECHS Staff List...They Each Have Diverse Degrees....Even If They Don't Teach That Subject...Hmmm...Weird Huh??
Also...Journalism Is Spelled Wrong...Gotta Love Mr. Smith, He's Pregnant (Or Wendy Is..LOL) And He Spelled Journalism Like This-Jornalism...Hehe..

Breath Easy...
This Morning, I Found My Old Inhaler. It Was Called "Inspir-ease". It Looks Like An Accordion. That Was Back In The Day When My Asthma Was A Lot Worse. Now, I Have Proventil.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Today Was The Day When We Had To Present Our Lab Presentation And Turn In Our Papers. This Morning, Our High School Biology Went Haywire On Us When She Found Out That None Of Us Did Internal Citations In The Paper. Without Them, We Technically Had Plagiarized Although We All Had Perfectly Correct "Works Cited Pages". Then, After Our Beloved English Teach Gave Us The Entire Period To Fix It, Come To Find Out...We Didn't Even Have To Have Them....Wahh Wahh...
My Presentation Went Really Well Although I Went Over Time Limit By Two Minutes....My Powerpoint Was Definately The Prettiest!!! LOL...
Tomorrow We're Supossed To Be Doing Some Kind Of Genetics Thing All Day....Bertha Might Rise Again And Haunt Us....Please Do...Let Us Go Home Early...
~~~~~~~~~~
Now...Onto Facebook And To Read Nikki's Blog..

When A Red Flower And A White Flower Love Each Other Very Much....
I Just Finished This Incredibly Long Assignment On Heredity. You Have To Use These Things Called Punnett Squares. They Tell You What Traits You Can Pass On And What Probability You Have Of Passing It On.
Tomorrow, I Have To Give My Presentation On Genetically Modified Foods. It's A Very Interesting Subject. If You Went To The Grocery Store And Went To Get A Vegetable or Fruit and It Said Genetically Modified On It, Would You Buy It?
