I Went To Hospice Today And I Got Put In The Basement Punching Holes In Like 10,000 Pieces Of Paper. Hospice Uses This Software Called "Suncoast". It's A Terribly Difficult Charting Program. Like I Said, Suncoast Is Incredibly Difficult, So They Have To Train People To Use It. Hospice Gives Out Huge Binders Full Of Resources To Help You Use Suncoast. Guess Who Got To Start The Binder-Making Process? Me!!! It Took Forever!!!! It's Done Though...

Here's Some Cool Traits That You May Have:
• Bent little finger. If the last joint of your little finger bends toward the fourth finger, you have the dominant allele.
• Pigmented iris – If you have blue or gray eyes, your irises are unpigmented and you are homozygous for the recessive allele. If your eyes are any other color, you have the dominant allele.
• Attached earlobes – The allele for free earlobes is dominant to the recessive allele for attached earlobes.
• Hitchhiker’s thumb – If you can bend the last joint of your thumb backward at an angle of 60 degrees or more, you have the recessive allele.
• Interlacing fingers – If you naturally cross your left thumb over your right when casually interlacing your fingers, you have the dominant allele.

We Also Talked About Something Called Nondisjunction. This Means That Your Eggs Don't Have The Correct Amount Of Chromosomes. If It Has 1 Too Many, It Can Cause A Disorder Such As Trisomy 18. Which Is Fatal To The Baby. If Egg Has 1 Too Few, You'll Have The Opposite Of Trisomy Called, Monosomy. This Is Less Fatal. Random Fact: If Nikki's Baby (Johanna) Would've Been Made Out Of The Monosomy Egg Instead Of The Trisomy Egg, Johanna Would've Lived And May Have Been Mentally Retarded And Had Dimples.

Last Night At Church, We (The Adult Choir) Practiced Some Christmas Songs. It's So Exciting Because I Love Hearing Christmas Music. Not To Mention Singing It And Playing It On The Piano. I Was Talking To Phillip After Church And We Talked About How Different Piano Players Play Differently But They All Can Sound Really Good. I've Always Said That It Just Depends On The Person. When I'm At Grandma's And Dyson And I Are Playing On The Piano, It Always Amazes Me How Differently We Play. He Has That Old Timey Southern Gospel Feel And I Have A More Modern/Classical Feel. Both Are Good. Depending On The Song, One May Be Better. Phillip Told Me How He Played What Child Is This. And I Could Go Home And Play Exactly How He Said But It Would Sound Completely Different. (And Vice Versa.)

We Just Started Reading This Book Called "Survival of The Sickest". It Talks About How Disease May Be Bad But It's Better Than The Alternative...Death. It's Really Interesting Because It Talks About All These Horrible Diseases And How That They Are Actually Good For Survival. Example: Malaria Is A Disease That Attacks Your Red Blood Cells. But, Malaria Doesn't Like Sickle Cells. If You Have Sickle Cell Anemia, You Are Resistant To Malaria But If You're In An Area Where There Is No Malaria, Your Very Sickly.

Today has been a fairly long day. I went to church, came home, went to RL's funeral/burial, went home with grandma and grandpa, then back to church, and lastly we had adult choir practice. Meiosis....The Reason You're Here

Today, in college class, we talked about meiosis. It's how gametes are made. Without going into too much detail, this is why were all different, even brothers, sisters, cousins, etc.
For those of you who don't know, my dad and his brother are colorblind. Colorblindness is hereditary. It travels through the 23rd or gender chromosome. I thought that Dyson, Dalton, and I carried the gene but it just isn't dominant. I was wrong. We can't pass it on because we don't actually carry the gene. It's carried through females only. It was carried through grandma Tolbert, grandma Linda, then my dad and Reginald. Since Dyson, Dalton, and I (are male which have XY gender chromosomes) got our X chromosomes from our mothers (who don't have the colorblindness gene) we don't have, nor can we pass it on. Cool huh...I do, however, posess the gene to where I can pass on my myopic degeneration.

I'm trying to start on my graduation project that is due on December 16th!!!! Ahh!!! It's crazy!!! I have to write 8-10 pages of junk about music. Grrr...

We Took The BIO-111 Test # 3!!!! I've Texted 4 Other People. Their Grades Were-70, 48, 78, & 68. I Logged Into Blackboard And....Drumrolllllll......I Made A 100%!!! W00T!!! No I'm ot Really Bragging. I Really Feel Sorry For The Other People. Especially The Ones Who Really Studied. This Test Was On Mitosis, DNA, and RNA!!! It Was Really Confusing. I Know I Missed The 1st Question. You Ask....Well How Did I Get A 100% If I Missed One. I Actually Missed 2 Because Her Tests Have 52 Questions At 2 Points Each. 2 x 52=104%. If You Don't Miss Any, You Get A 104%.

I just finished the note cards for my sources for my paper for the NC graduation project. Gah...that was a lot of "for"s. Um....What do I say? I hate the graduation project. I don't mind the project portion. I'm kinda excited about it because I get to write a piano book with the help of Janet Hayes....W00T!! I just despise the 8-10 page paper that we've gotta have done before Christmas!!!

You can tell it's really starting to be Christmas time because lite 102.9 has started their Christmas music hours. Plus, yesterday we started on our Christmas play thing at church. It's called an "Old Fashioned Christmas".
Paternal grandma is gonna put up her lights all the way up her fence tomorrow. I'm excited because she hasn't put them up since I was little. Yay!! Next week, I'll be helping my maternal grandma put up all her decor yard art. She decorates her yard more than the Biltmore. Let's just say that when you put her and Dyson together in the same county, you get a power shortage...Rotflol!!

I'm trying to do my college biology homework. It's kinda hard when you're supposed to watch this video and your teacher doesn't put the correct address....
I'm stuck on this question about X Chromosome Inactivation. It's effects women. If one of your X chromosomes gets turned off, you won't have sweat glands on certain parts of your body. So, if you're a lady and don't have sweat glands on your face, right breast, left hand, etc. you may have X chromosome inactivation. Don't worry though. Remember, you have 2 X chromosomes. If I had it, it would be bad!!!

I Went To Lowes Hardware After School Today. I Was Looking For Whiteboard Paint. They Didn't Have It But They Did Have Chalkboard Paint. It Over $11 A Can. They Also Had Magnetic Paint...I Don't Really Know Any Details On It Because It Was So Heavy That I Couldn't Hardly Lift It Off The Shelf. I Do Know That It Was Over $20 A Quart And That You Are Supposed To Paint It On The Wall And You Can Stick Magnets And Metal Stuff To It. Also, They Have Their Christmas Stuff Out. Check It Out...

To Get To My House, Their Are 2 Entrances. I Went In On The Old Entrance. I Hit A Dog....It Ran Out In Front Of My Car And I Stopped. It Wouldn't Go On So I Went And It Hit Its Head On My Tire. Let Me Tell You How Dumb The Peeps At Wal-Marts Vision Center Are....
I Have A Condition Called Anisometropia. This Means that My Eyes Have Two Different Prescriptions. I Ordered Contacts From The Wal-Mart Vision Center Recently. I Had To Open the Boxes This Morning Because My Other Contacts Had Ran Out. Wal-Mart So Graciously Puts An "L" On My Left Contact Box And Vice Versa. Well...They Switched The Letters Around So I Just About Put The Contacts Is The Opposite Eyes. Good Thing I Know What Each Eyes Prescription Is And I Checked Them First. If I Had Put The Contacts In By The Letters They Had Written, It Would've Really Hurt.... Way To Go Wal-Mart!!!

On Saturday, I Cleaned My Room Some More. I Got Kinda Tired At One Point So I Got My Crayons Out And Color Coordinated Them...Yes My Friends....I Was That Bored...

We Went To UNC-Chapel Hill Today. To Take A Tour Of Course. We Were Supposed To Be At School At 7:15 This Morning. Well.....A Lot Of Us Were A Little Late Because We All Met At Bojangles And We Didn't Get There Until It Was More Like 7:25....Oops...
I Took Us Absolutely Forever To Get There. We Were Late So We Didn't Get To Take The Tour. Then, We Listened To This Lady Talk About The College And A Bunch Of Enrollment Junk That Didn't Apply To Us.
Then We Went To The "Pit". This Is Where The Students Hang Out. Some Bollywood Dancers Were Groovin. Protesters And Campaigners Were Shouting. Let's Just Say Is Was The Business End Of UNC.
After That, We Went Shopping. I Didn't Buy Anything Though.
Oh Yeah...Admission For One Year At UNC is $18,000. This Sounds Like A Lot But The Random Lady That I Told You About Earlier Said That Usually 2/3 Of It Was Covered By Grants And Scholarships. (The $18,000 Covers Everything From Dorm To Books To Spending Money, Etc.)
The Ride Back Was Slower That A Turtle In A Coma. Traffic Was Backed Up For Miles. We Ended Up Going Through Oak Hill To Get Home....They Could Just Dropped Me Off At The House....LOL

Instead Of Extracting DNA From The Parts Off Of Neutered Pets, We Just Extracted The DNA From Wheat Germ. We Were Supposed To Put Dish Washing Soap And Wheat Germ And Alcohol In A Test Tube. My Group Used The Soap, Germ, Salt, Meat Tenderizer, And Ethanol. Did We Get DNA? Yes!! But We Couldn't Get It Out Because I Broke The Strands Apart Because I Had So Much Other Stuff In Tube To Help The Cell Release The DNA. Oh Well....

I Went To Hickory Today Because I Needed To Do Some Shopping For The Autumn/Winter Seasons. Let's Just Say I Did Really Well. Just In Case You Don't Know, I Buy Expensive Clothes. I Know Gasp!! But I Was Smart Today And I Used My Membership Stuff And Coupons At All Of The Places That I Usually Shop. Then, After I Spent My Life Savings And Took Out A 2nd Mortgage, I Went To BestBuy And Other Random Places To Just Wish And Dream. When I Went To BestBuy, I Looked At The New iMacs. No I Don't Necessarily Want One But It Was Amazing. I Love The Giant Screen And The Accessibility Features For The Visually Impaired. "Normal" Humans Have 23 Pairs Of Chromosomes. (For A Total Of 46.) When Someone Has Trisomy 18, They Have 22 Pairs Of Chromosomes. Plus, On The 18th Chromosome, (Instead Of Having A Pair) They Have A Triplet. (For A Total Of 47.) This Is Called Edward's Syndrome.When A Baby Has Edward's Syndrome, It Has Very Fatal Physical Defects Such As Heart Problems, Limb Defects, And Underdevelopment In The Womb.(Similar But Worse To Down's Syndrome.)

I Had A HUGE Homework Assignment From My High School Biology Teacher. We Have A College Bio Test On Monday. Tomorrow, Some People Are Taking The Accuplacer And Others (Who Have Already Passed It. Like Me) Are Watching Movies. I Thought That We Could Do Something More Productive. So,Abbie Watson And I Made The Motion To Have A Biology Review Time Tomorrow. We All Need It And It Would Be A Better Use Of Time Than A Movie About The History Of Halloween. Ms. Green (The HS Bio Teacher) Gave Everyone This Packet Of Worksheets That Are All About What's Gonna Be On The Test On Monday. It Was So Difficult. I Worked On It Ever Since I Got Home Until About 5:30 (When I Went To Wal-Mart). I Finished It When I Got Back.

Instead Of Doing The Hydrazine Test For CO2 Like I Had Planned, We Used A Test With Lime. Lime Is CaO. When You Dissolve It In Water It Is Ca(OH)2. Then, When You Add CO2 To It, You Get A White Cloudy Percipitant That Is CaCO3. Also, CO2 Makes Water A Little Bit Acidic.

We Had 3 Beakers. Here's What We Pu In Them:
Beaker 1: Limewater and Universal Indicator. Blew CO2 Into It. It Turned Yellow.
Beaker 2: Limewater and Universal Indicator. No CO2 Blown. Turned Blue-Green.
Beaker 3: Limewater and Phenol Red. Blew CO2 In It And It Turned From Beautiful Pink To An Orange-Red.

This Was Really Cool Because It Proved That We Really Do Exhale CO2. Plus...We Made Things Change Colors...Yay!!

On Monday, I Have My Biology High School Class. We're Split Up Into 4 Groups And Were Each Trying To Prove A Different Part Of Photosynthesis or Aerobic Respiration. My Group Has Carbon Dioxide. One Group has Oxygen (Molecular) And Another Has Glucose. The Last Group Has To Present Information About Chloroplasts And Mitochondria. There Are Only 3 Ways To Prove That We Produce Carbon Dioxide. Lime, Bromothymol Blue, And Hydrazine.
~Lime Is A Little Iffy. You Have To See How Much The Solution Fogs Up When You Blow In It.
~Bromothymol Blue Is Great Except, To Get Results, You Have To Actually Put The CO2 In The Bromothymol Blue. It Can't Just be In The Air Around It.
~Our Last Choice Is To Use This Chemical Called Hydrazine. This Is Also The Most Dangerous One. It's Used To Make Rocket Fuel. You Mix Ammonia (NH3) and Either Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) or Bleach (Which Has Sodium Hypochlorate or NaClO). If You Get It Too Hot Or you Don't Add Enough Water It Can Become Vaporous And Cause Liver Failure....Sounds Fun Huh!?!?

I had BIO lab today and we "studied" photosynthesis. To understand what I'm about to say, you have to know this. Green plants have chlorophyll in their chloroplasts. Chloroplasts take sunlight and make energy and sugar.

We boiled some leaves in water. Then, we boiled the leaves in ethanol. The green pigment was released from the leaves. Now, we put iodine on the leaf to detect starch. The parts of the plant that had had chlorophyll developed starch and showed up black. The rest showed up white.

I'm Not Sure What Else I Was Supposed To Learn From That Lab....

I Wish Someone Had Spilled The Ethanol On The Hot Plate. It Would've Made The Lab A Lot More Interesting...

I'll Explain Don't Worry. The Salt Dough Ornaments Went All Soft On Us. Grandma Made The Executive Decision To Rebake Them. She Baked Them For An Additional Half Hour At 400 Degrees. This Pretty Much Dried Them Out And Made Them Rock Hard. Now They're Ready To Be Painted.

We Went To The Goins Girls' And Grandma Bought Us This Concrete "Horse" And Buggy Thing For Us To Paint. We Got It Back To Her House, Unloaded It In The Basement And Then Realized It Was A Donkey And Buggy. Grandpa Wasn't Too Happy About That. (Since Donkeys Are The Symbol For Democrats.) We're Gonna Paint It Up Like A Horse Anyway. Dyson's Painting The Horse, I'm Painting The Buggy, And Dalton Is Painting The Wheels.

I was out of school today and I stayed at home for a while this morning. I went to grandma's at about 2:00. We made salt dough. Salt dough is this stuff that when you roll it out it's just like cookie dough and you use cookie cutters on it. Then, you stick it in the oven for an hour and they get rock hard. What's the point you ask? You don't eat them, you make christmas ornaments out of them. We're gonna go back up there and paint them tomorrow.

I have a weird week this week. I have A-Day 1st and 2nd periods tomorrow. The PSAT and A-Day 3rd Period on wednesday. Then on thursday I have B-Day and Lab....

I have a test tomorrow morning. Am I worried? A little because there is a whole part about Susan B. Anthony and Sojourner Truth and maybe a Goins Girl or two that I know nothing about.... Oh well....

Windows 7 comes out in 10 days. Am I getting it? No. I want a Mac....(Hint Hint Mom!!LOL) You can put Windows 7 on any computer that will run Vista. So, if you're computer came with Vista, then Windows 7 will work. It has some really cool updates to it. One that's really cool is the taskbar (That's the thing down there beside the start menu that show what windows are open.) is now transparent and only shows the icon of the program that's open. Also, Microsoft Paint (Which has been virtually the same since Windows '95) has been updated to include the ribbon format that is incorporated into Microsoft Office 2007!

You Can't Always Trust Your Handy-Dandy GPS System. I Needed To Go To My Allery And Asthma Specialist Appt. Today But I Really Didn't Know How To Get There. I Put The Address Into Maurine (My GPS) And She Took Me To The GHETTO!!! How Did I Know It Was The Ghetto? If You're The Only White Person And You're Car Is The Nicest In The Community....You're In The Ghetto!!! I Called My Mom And She Safely Guided Me To The Doctor's Office.

My Appointment Wasn't Until 4:30 But I Got There A Little After 3:00. They Took Me Right In!! My Doctor Had To Write Me A Perscription For Xyzal. It's An Alternative (Very Powerful) Allergy Pill. I've Started To Get Immune To Zyrtec And All Citrizine HCl Product Along With All Loritadine Products. So, That's Why I Got The New Medicine. She Gave Me An Entire Box Of Samples!! That's 30 Blister Packs Plus Wrote A Perscription And Gave Me 2 Bottle Of Nasacort AQ. I Got Out Of The In Like 20 Minutes!!

I Went To Hobby Lobby And Just Looked Around. There Was This Big Black Lady Who Was Wanting Some Kind Of ID Holder Or Somthing. Anyways.....Hobby Lobby Play Gospel Music But Without Words (Just Piano and/or Guitar, Etc.). The Black Lady Broke Out In Full Song Right In The Middle Of The Aisle. After I Got My Giggles Out Of Control, I Went And Looked At The Clearance Rack. I Picked Up A "Feliz Navidad" Stamp And Guess What... I Was Holding It And Then I Started Itching....The Stamp Said, "This Stamp Is Made Of High-Quality Latex Rubber For Sustained Use." Grr.....I Was Itchy All The Way Back To Lenoir....Oh Well. I Guess That Will Teach Me To Read Before I Touch.

I have to dress up because I have a mock college interview, a fall festival, and BIO-111 lab tomorrow with a quiz at the beginning. Then, after school, I have a allergy and asthma specialist appointment at 4:30.

I also have 3 papers to write, a 2 tests within the next 2 weeks and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I've Officially Done My Spring Cleaning 2 Seasons Too Late.
~Here's The Story:
I Have 2 Rooms. I Have A Small Room That's Been Mine Since My Mom And Dad Bought The House In 1954. Then, After Parents Split, My Dad Added On To The Side Of The House. (The Side That My Bed Room Is On.) This Made A HUGE Room That Was To Be Mine In Addition To My Current Room.

~The Story Continued....
I've Never Really Used The Large Room Because It Was Too Big, Too Hard To Keep Clean, And I Didn't Want To Take The Time And Effort To Move Everything Into The New Room. Well, Today I Had Nothing Else To Do And So I Just Cleaned, Dusted, Moved, Vacuumed, Took Down Posters, Threw Stuff Away, Moved Stuff, Pack Stuff Up, Etc. Needless To Say I'm Pooped!!

One Of The Main Reasons That I Switched Rooms Is Because I'll Be Getting A Piano For Christmas And I Wouldn't Have Been Able To Fit It And My Bed And Junk Into The Small Room. Now My Piano, My Living Room Suite, and My TV is Going In The Small Room. My Bed, Dresser, Desk, Etc. Is In The Large Room.

So I Could Get Ready For Bed. I Must Have Just Layed Down Across My Bed And Fell Asleep. I Woke Up At About 6:00 This Morning Still In The Clothes I Had On Yesterday. I Came Down Stair And Maria And My Dad Just Looked At Me Funny And Said,"Wow, You're Up Early!" Because I Usually Sleep Till About 10:00-11:00 On Saturdays. I Had Came Down To Brush My Teeth And Take My Contacts Out. Then, I Went Back To Bed.

I bet your all wondering how the sunday school lesson went. It went great. We did the fishbowl and it was cool. The class liked it.
I went to Marla and Reginalds house to eat lunch today. We had charburgers (just kidding :)).
I had to go to Hospice today and once again I didn't do anything because they were double staffed. There was a volunteer there and she pretty much just did my job for me. Thanks whoever you were!!

I have a BIO-111 test tomorrow. Am I nervous. No. Do I think I'm completely ready for it. No. It's just 52 questions and they're all multiple guess.

On Friday, I Went With My Mom And Her Hubby And We Went To Pizza Hut. My Mom Ordered Chicken Marinara Pasta (I Think?) And She Wanted Pineapples In It. (No, She's Not Completely Crazy. The First Time She Ordered It There And They Accidentally Put The Pineapples In There.) They Said No Because It Was A "Health Hazard". How Dumb!! Then, We Ate And Then Went To The Mall.

On Saturday, My Mom And I Went To Wal-Mart And Then She Had To Get Back To The House Because Her Hubby Was Going To Take Her Out To Eat For Her Birthday. So, I Drove Down The Mountain, Met My Dad, And Went To Hickory. I Went To AE And Found A Pair Of Jeans That I Liked. I Went To Go Try Them On. (Here's Where The Dingle-Berry Award Comes In.) I Undid (Is That A Word?) My Belt And Then Took My Shirt Off. Then, I Stood There For A Second Thinking....What Am I Gonna Do Now? Dummy Me Forgot That I Was Going To Try On The Pants. By The Way....They Fit Great And So I Bought Them.

1.) Where The "Large" Lunchroom?
~We Went To UNC-G Today To Take A Tour And Each In Their Cafeteria. They Said Eat Anything You Want, It's A Huge Facility.....None Of Us Could Find The Huge Part. It Was A Tiny Lunchroom Until You Went Around The Corner Through A Sitting Area And WAHBAMM It's Huge!!! They Had Any Knind Of Food You Could Imagine....

2.) Go Bertha Go!
~ Our Bus Decided To Just Not "Go" On The Way Back!! We Named The Bus Bertha And Cheered Her To About 55mph. Poor Bertha Was On Her Last Leg....or....Tire.... We Were Scheduled To Be Back Before 3:00.... We Didn't Get Back Until After 4:00!!!

3.)Not Feeling So.....Good!!!
~For Some Reason, I Started To Not Feel So Good On The Way Beck Home From Grandma's. I Just Really Didn't Feel Good And My Adnoid Was Swollen. Once I Got Home, I Came In And Layed Down And Slept Until 9:00....I Feel Better Now.....

Just in case you don't know, I have Biology 1 High School Class, BIO-111-032 College Class, and BIO-111 LAB College Class. It's not that I don't like biology. It's that their is so many things (topics) going on at once. Today, (in the high school class) we talked about H2O (Dihydrogen Monoxide or Water) and C6H12O6 (Glucose or Monosaccharide Sugar). Then, in college class, we talked about a load of bull-hockey called "evolution". Tomorrow, in lab, we're making instruction sets (like DNA). It all gets really confusing though...

After school, I went to the library and did my homework. Then, I went to Wal-Mart to get some Deo and some batteries. Then, I went to get my hair cut. Then, I came home....

Yesterday, Dyson and I Went To The Post Office To Ship My Laptop Off To HP. this Lady Passed Us In Line Because She Said She Needed To Go To The Bathroom Really Bad. We Let Her Pass. She Did Her Mailing And Stuff At The Counter And Then Left. We Got Up There And Left. When We Went Outside, She Was Still Sitting In Her Car, Doing Nothing. Yeah...She Really Had To Go Didn't She!?!?

Here's A Run-Down Of Today....
I had BIO-111 lab today right after lunch. It was 3 hours long!!! I just did this experiment with tuning forks and had to write a lab report.

After school I took Dyson to Dr.Winsetts office...We went over to mom's country kitchen....It was kinda neat and old-timey diner looking.

I went to the DMV to get my full provisional license...Did you know that they don't print out they licenses there? They mail them to you.

Then, I went to Wal-mart and ran into Phil Crump's mom. We stood and talked about stuff for about 30 minutes. Everything from ASU to Phenergan.

Then, I went to Subway to get a Sub(duh...), Usually their is 3 people behind the counter. One to get the bread, meat, and cheese. One to do condiments and veggies. And one to take your

money and answer phone. There was only 1 lady behind the counter. It took me forever to just get a footlong. She didn't even offer me a drink!!

This Line Of Books Shows Different Warm-Ups That Would Be Great To Use In Songs That You're Arranging. Any Gospel Pianist Needs Book One. (The Books Below Book One Are Way Too Easy And Books 2 & 3 Are More Advanced And Would Be Hard To Incorporate Into You Own Arrangement.)
